ASUS need to up their game when it comes to details in regards to what a new firmware does.

Improve system stability could mean just about anything from locking out functions, enabling functions or optimizing how functions work.

If you'd like more details in the BIOS update descriptions. Please do so and let ASUS know that we are unhappy and what we would like to be expressed in the BIOS update description to fix that unhappiness.

I guess its a tradeoff between a company's reputation with quality of products vs quality of service. I have fortunately not had to deal with any warranty issues thus far so I cannot comment on that. Ideally, if a product works as it should as delivered, a proficient technical phone support is less of an issue. However, I wish there was a way to escalate issue to tier 2 support when merited. I have never been presented with that option. I would be happy not getting the answers to my technical questions while on hold, a callback or email would be fine. Having people send back their laptops for things that can be fixed with a setting or driver version is a waste of their money and our time.

Edoit: My experience is with ROG laptop support. Component support may be better.

The trend what asus do is same what giga, msi do they release new versions of bioses if giga or msi release if giga or msi not release bioses monthly any more then not do this asus also. not msi or giga share also what new version does because they battle for each other.

If they battle each other they cant really fix issues due monthly make working bios version is time too short the make 1-2 fixes or make stability bit better.

In my point there is no point to update bios before golden versions is out. If you got all working without issues leave it alone. Not all bios versions good ones even latest not perfect.

All the more reason to have release notes detailing what was changed. Some may have issues not addressed by the updates and create much bigger problems when in fact they should have left things alone.

Both Gigabyte and MSI include greater details for their bios updates. Why not ASUS? What makes them so special not to include such information?

Customers do not like being left in the dark.

asus not share information very long time now since 2008-09 i think. Its annoying yea because users flash in blind. if there is notes what changed maybe users not have to flash some versions at all because its fixes something else.

It explains why my friends are jumping ship to other companies.

tobe hornest i own hero VII its was pain to find in blind suitable working bios and that i waited over year before that i had issues always with something. To me solved usb chip programmer issues out of box didnt work as it should. And this mess makes me think about asus if i leave because before i not had sutch issues with asus last asus p5q deluxe was really good and stable mobo its did work always. But over 1 year bios mess in blind not made me happy. I got my hero vii working but it took all mood for testing and flashing driver mess etc.

+1 also from me. I'd Ike to know if an update is worth my time and the risk of upsetting my already stable system before installing. I've been having issues with a ROG front base and tech support have been very good and answered all of my questions but ultimately I've been advised to RMA the unit which I'm pretty certain isn't going to fix the problems. ASUS is a strong brand name that is renowned for performance and quality, but my latest dealings with a Hero VIIII Alpha mobo and ROG Front Base has made me question this.

All the companies analyse each other's BIOS revisions with or without detailed information about the changes. The only people that suffer with the lack of details is the customers that do not have the knowledge or time to analyse the coding in the BIOSs.

ASUS help us choose to update our BIOS or not with more information to make an informed decision to make the right choice.
