Mic Issue

So I recently built my computer with Asus Maximus VIII extreme motherboard and wanted to use my apple headphones with mic, however it did not work. I later on bought a splitter and it works perfectly however just on the case and not the supreme hifi that came with my motherboard. I was wondering if there's anyway I can use it without the splitter.

there's no option for headphones with mic in the audio controller so I have to use splitter. Is there anyway I don't need to use a splitter?
