Hi Crazyjedi

Help from a friend from a friend? 😄

When code 00 pops up it's usually not a good sign but the first two easy things to try is clearing the cmos then a bios update, also check the 8-pin cpu power cable is secured to the board.

If that doesn't help remove the board from the case and set it up on the box it came in and try it with minimal components, he can try reseating the cpu and inspecting the cpu socket for any bent or misaligned pins, a magnifying glass is good to use.

If it's still showing code 00 then it looks like hardware failure with either the mobo, cpu or possibly the psu.

Did he have a working pc or did he have code 00 from the start? Ask your friend if he wants to join the forum. 🙂

Tell him to loosen the screws for his heatsink a little. If that doesn't work, proceed to take everything out of the case. Put the moherboard on top of the cardboard box that it came in and inspect the CPU socket for any bent or missing pins.
