Hi I've got maximum VIII ranger z170 skylake with i5 6600k, i added security devices (tpm 2.0) in the device management, I plugged in tpm module 14-1 into the socket and I also update the bios, but I don't see any tpm/ptt options in the bios. Is there any way to enable it in the bios or I have to invest in the new motherboard/CPU?
Thank You

This is the model you need to get,
Once you power up you go in bios to ADVANCE then TRUSTED COMPUTING should APPEAR tpm 2.0 found
if Does not appear, and I THINK since is a very old board, should appear on ADVANCE then PCH-FW Configuraton a word called PTT. change to ENAGLE. F10 then return to bios and check. IF THIS APPEARS and start to work. 99.9% you need to reinstall windows. since you have to change some thinks in order to use windows 11. aside some changes prior to install windows.
NOTE: a lot has change over the years. I have NO idea if is tpm2.0 and or OR cpu requirements.
NOTE:2 is my recommendation to use at least 32gb aside start from scratch if all went well.
Hope this works for you! CHEERS.

i found that on eBay, matches the numbers but can't see front picture. So after I plug this into the tpm port it should appear in the bios? So don't have to upgrade CPU or motherboard?
Also I found this
but can't see matching number

Again ONLY use the model i send on images nothing else NOT ALL 2.0 are the same. so use the images to compare

Ok thank you for your help, I will try to find one, so the option in bios will pop after I plug it to the port?

This is a bios funtion is not pop up after plug. So check what i write

That's why I'm wondering if it will show this extra option, because at the moment there is no option regarding tpm in the bios, so I don't know if I should invest in this tpm or just get new motherboard/CPU set and exchange it.

If you have the one i put on the images and there is not bend pin on the tpm, and what i put is not there then you have the wrong one. simple. The other alternative is that the board is on legacy. Enter bios then boot then csm (compatibility support module change it to DISABLE then f10 and back to bios.
NOTE: is on enable you are legacy. main drive or drives WILL NOT APPEAR. so take a moment to find what i wrote.
IF STILL NO DICE THEN GET THE ACTUAL TPM MODULE. TPM can or not appear on legacy (so no tpm or trusted computing on bios)
