Using Latency Mon I have discovered the storport.sys is causing high latency.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

It did to start after I installed the 2.1 drivers for my Samsung 960 Pro.

Will test it now.

Ok after hours of testing I just ended up re installing Windows. I figured it would be the fastest solution.

storport.sys is no longer causing latency issues.

Not been game to yet. been progressively re installing everything else checking after each new install.

I'm pretty sure the reason is the set of updates that have been going around trashing people's pc's , the last of which rolled out the 14th.
i think they are updates KB3199986,KB4013418,and KB3211320. I had the same issues and after a plethora of test , part swaps and a gallon of pure pain traced my issues to windows update. I did a clean install of windows and used the machine flawlessly for 1 day , as soon and it rebooted to install those updates it returned to the exact same behavior as before . If you google a few of those updates you will learn once they are installed you can not remove them and they are causing various problems to thousands of people across the net.

I re installed windows 2 days ago now and the problem is yet to return. I have updated windows with all updates. Those updates were not installed as a part of the reinstall process.

A bit of advice.
There is zero advantage to using Samsung NVMe drivers. Those native to the OS work just fine.
