Hero Alpha long POST time?

I just built a new Z170 system with the following hardware:

Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha
Intel i7-6700K w/Cryorig R1 Ultimate
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB; DDR4 3000; CMK16GX4M2B3000C15)
Asus Strix GTX 980Ti
Samsung 950 Pro
Samsung 840 Pro (connected to SATA6G_1)
Western Digital 4TB HDD (connected to SATA6G_2)
EVGA SuperNOVA P2 850w
Phanteks Evolv ATX
Mionix Castor
Mechanical Keyboards MK2016
Windows 10 Enterprise 1511

I powered it up yesterday for the first time and everything seems fine but the POST seems really slow (at least compared to my 5 yo Sandy Bridge system). Here's video of all the Q-Codes that are displayed during POST and boot up:

I have fast boot enabled in the BIOS. RAM timings are set via XMP (otherwise, they seem to default to 2133 instead of 3000). The Samsung 950 Pro is my boot drive (it was partitioned as GPT). CSM is disabled in my BIOS. I also turned off the full screen logo so I can see the American Megatrends POST display. From the time I press the power button until the POST is complete it takes around 18.5 seconds. Then another 10 seconds or so to boot to the Windows 10 desktop. Surely I've got something misconfigured, right? Does it really take this board (and/or Z170 in general) this long to POST and then boot? I appreciate any suggestions you might have!

I have the same board and started with a Post time of 18.2s and through a few tweaks in the Bios I've got it down to 8.3s.

The biggest effective changes I made were...
CSM changed to disabled
OS Type to "Win UEFIMode"
Post Delay Time set to 0s
Boot Performance Mode to "Turbo Performance"
I've still got a fairly long delay before it looks like POST starts and booting into Windows takes about 4s.
Al in, from pressing the power button to getting to the desktop takes about 16s. That's not great but its at least bearable.

Thanks for the info. I set Boot Performance Mode to "Turbo Performance" and also disabled my unused SATA ports (just for good measure) and it did help. I haven't timed it yet and it's still not as fast as my previous Sandy Bridge system but it's definitely better than it was. I wonder if this is an issue specific to this BIOS revision, this motherboard or even the entire Z170 platform?
