Help with lowering boot time (Disabling csm=black screen.. only clear cmos will fix)

I have reinstalled windows 10 pro in uefi mode. I am now looking to tweak settings to lower boot time.
Disabling csm has stopped me being able to post.. puts me on a black screen (q code AO), cannot access bios or anything. Instead i must clear cmos by buttom on mobo.

Doesn't q code A0 indicate that the boot up has completed successfully and you should be at the Windows login screen?

I had a similar experience, where following a change to BIOS settings, or perhaps I flashed a BIOS update, I can't remember exactly, all I got was a blank screen despite the q code indicating al was fine. I was tearing my hair out, thinking I'd bricked my one and only PC!

Until I realised I had two screens (PC Monitor + TV via Yamaha home theatre amp) attached to the PC, via the graphics card, and for some reason the MB had decided my 2nd screen was the primary screen despite being switched off, and was booting up to that rather than the monitor in front of me on the desk. It took me an hour to realise this!! Duh!

So, I don't suppose this is your issue too, but I thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else falls for this one too.

Hello

CSM set to disabled should have been done before the operating install.

Thanks for the pointers. I have attempted to install again whilst csm is disabled. However, Upon disabling csm, then selecting to boot from install usb in ufei mode... same black screen, cannot enter bios. by black screen i mean the screen is on, but its black.. same code AO on the mobo..

Perhaps some of my hardware needs the legacy drivers or something?
