Gene Hero POST CODE 55 - Gskill issue?

Topic Typo, didn't mean to put "Gene" in the topic. The MB is a Maximus VIII Hero".

My 6700K landed today to complete my build. Turning on the machine hangs at code 55 - Memory Not Installed. If I remove the Memory, I get the normal "Missing Memory beep" error 53. I have tried inserting the memory one stick at a time into DIMM_A2 and then tried pairs in DIMM_A2 DIMM_B2. No luck. I pressed MEM_OK, the system shut down and started back up with the yellow DRAM_LED light flashing, but it never completes.

I am using:

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) F4-3200C16Q-32GVK

What am I missing here?

The Ripjaws are made for X99 motherboards, I could not get my GSkill 3000mhz CL15 kit to run over 2666, and were more stable at 2400mhz.
The Ripjaw V series are for Z-170 and X99 boards and will run at rated speed

Here are the specs, would have thought they should work on hero viii as they start at 2166mhz, i cant even get into boot screen ?

Actually given me cpu post memory initialization error 32 now ? i have tried each memory stick in each slot, no joy, re seated the cpu cooler no change either, any ideals.

Hey I have had the exact same issues in the same order as you. Currently stuck on a 32 error. I found it works with 2 sticks with the 32 error but 4 doesnt work yet. Let me know if you figure anything out.

I just put my PC together a few days ago with the following parts.

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX
Motherboard: Maximus VIII Hero
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB DDR4-2400 (a lot of us rocking 32GB kits)
Video Cards: 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti FTW (Thought about 2 hybrids but didn't want to deal with 3 sets of hose)
Soundcard: Soundblaster Z Series (Who uses these besides me?)
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2
Case: Corsair 750D Airflow Edition
Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB, Samgsung 840 Evo 1TB, 2x Seagate Desktop HDD.15 4TB in Raid 1

I didn't have any memory problems with mine so I guess maybe the Maximus boards are a bit more sensitive when it comes to memory?

I have ordered some Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15), now that should be compatable i hope, lets hope it was the ram that was the problem.

Glad you got yours fixed, wonder how tighten cooler to much actually causes the error 55 memory not installed, i mean whats cooler tightness got to do with memory anyway ?
