MoKiChU,
I have a problem with the sound going out of sync with the video which is why I have been trying to update the Realtek drivers. I tried several of the latest drivers including the driver that I had before the Windows Update version 2004, but I still get sound/video sync issue. This problem started right after the Windows Update. Now, I`m starting to think it is not the Realtek driver but something else causing this. Do you have any solutions?

Hi,

Do you use the latest 6.0.8967.1 WHQL ?

Anyway, try with Microsoft built-in drivers by just following scrupulously your CLEANUP process, if the problem still occurs, the problem is surely not at the level of the audio drivers, and knowing that you are the only one in this case to my knowledge, I don't think this is a problem with Windows 2004 itself.

Also, try to update your other firmware/drivers :

- Intel ME Firmware : [FIRMWARE] Intel ME (Z170/Z270/Z370)
- Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA Drivers : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx)
- Intel Ethernet Drivers : [DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/BT
- ASMedia SATA : [DRIVERS] ASMedia SATA

Hi,

Try with the latest drivers :

Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS2 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG SSx MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

If your issue still occurs, try with Microsoft built-in drivers by just following scrupulously your CLEANUP process, if your issue again still occurs, the issue is surely not at the level of the audio drivers, and knowing that you are the only one in this case to my knowledge, I don't think this is a issue with Windows 2004 itself.

Also, try to update your other firmware/drivers :

- Intel ME Firmware : [FIRMWARE] Intel ME (Z170/Z270/Z370)
- Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA Drivers : [DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)
- Intel Ethernet Drivers : [DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth
- ASMedia SATA : [DRIVERS] ASMedia SATA

My current driver will not uninstall. I have tried 4 times and it just will not uninstall from the apps or control panel. Why will it not uninstall?
Your uninstall and install instructions are net very clear for a novice.

My explanations are very clear to any novice if you follow the processes step by step only in case your existing installation is clean/uncorrupted.

If you have trouble uninstalling your possibly corrupted audio drivers install, use DDU (Audio - Realtek > Clean and restart) : Link

I didn`t know the DDU removes Realtek drivers. I have used DDU a couple of times before when I did the GPU drivers. I didn`t reinstall any Realtek drivers when I used the DDU. Was there an option to check for doing sound drivers in the DDU? I have not noticed that DDU removes sound drivers as well.

Hi,

Yes, of course, you just do not have to install them during the following of your INSTALL process. So :

You have an ASUS ROG SS2 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers (HDA - ASUS ROG SSx MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

I just now downloaded DriverStoreExplorer.v0.10.58 and opened it.

I believe there is no "Delete Package" button. I do see a "Delete Driver" button.

I suggest post #1 be edited accordingly.
