Cpu power question

I am going to use the corsair 900d case with the Maximus viii extreme and the case comes with a splitter that turns an 8+8 cable into an 8+8 and a 4+4 and that will fit perfectly on the motherboard. But I am using custom psu cables from cable mod and the kit comes with two 4+4 eps cables. Could I plug the two 4+4 cables into a single 8+8 and will it work/be safe?
Here's the kit https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-axi-hxi-rm-cable-kit-black-red/

His cable kit lists 2 4+4 pin power cables so he should have everything he needs and then some as it looks like a very complete cable kit

Well I don't have the cables right now but what I'm saying is I'm going to run two separate 4 pin from the power supply and plug into one female 8 pin.

It's actually a single cable with two 4 pins. Yes, it will work.
