Computer doesn't wake up properly when overclocked

Hello,

Since i've updated my bios, i started having an issue with my overclocked computer when i try to wake it up after a couple of hours or more. Sometimes the screen stays black, and sometimes some graphical artifacts appear.

This happens only when i put it in standby, normal rebooting is fine and removing the overclocking solves the problem too.

Any idea what could be causing this? i guess it has something to do with the RAM.

Thanks,

Unable to wake up properly is a symptom of an unstable overclock. A lot of changes are made from one BIOS to another. Most probably your previous stable settings won't work as well with a different revision.

Thanks Chino,

You were right 🙂 So what now ? on each bios update with "improved stability" changelog means that we have to add more voltage ? i am right now at 4.6@1.38V which seems a bit too high to me, i will try to get it down to 1.37 later, but 1.36V is not passing anymore

It can go either way. Some users get better results, some don't. If your previous BIOS was stable, you can flashback to that revision.
