*Hello, I did join the asus forum few days ago. I hope get advice about my maximus viii hero.
I guess some device not compatible for maximus viii hero, and have some problem on my system.
I did overclocking my system, core ratio is 45 and memory Hz is 3200 XMP.
and If I use the value with 1.315v core voltage, It work great but will crash after few rebooting or hours it very randomly.

XMP 3200-16-18-18-38-2T
Core Ratio: 45
Cache Ratio: Auto
two spread spectrum options: all disable
LLC: 5
core voltage: 1.315v
average idle temp: 33*℃
average peek temp: 85 ℃ // maximum is 91 ℃ with Linx 0.6.9K: *http://hwtips.tistory.com/1611

So I change core voltage to 1.355v, It work great yet. but before option also success all stress tests.
I want know why occured this problem, Is it just cpu problem? or device compatible?
*sorry for the grammar mistake, Have a nice day. thanks.

hi m4ximuel i
t seems like You did 6Ghz overclocking and up to DDR4-3200mhz
but randomly crash, how about if the frequency decrease.to 5.5 ot 5 does it happen randomly crash?

Thanks your answer,
But I did 4.5GHz overclocking, the bclk is 100.00 and core ratio is 45.

Hi m4ximuel,

You may have been on the edge of stability, 1.355v for 4.5GHz is not uncommon.

I need 1.504v for 4.8GHz.

Click the picture a few the times, the vcore is the cpu voltage.

Thans you answer,
I think if *core ratio over sweet spot, It will need too much voltage.
Just my core over sweet spot? or my system have problem of compatible?

God d*** , my cpu cannot pass stability test now. maybe the cpu need more voltage.

All cpu's aren't created equal, some will need more voltage and some will need less for the same speed. Anything up to 1.52v is safe as long as temps are under control.

I see you listed your ram as paired ram, did you purchase your 16GB as a single kit or two separate sticks? This could be the problem too.

It is two sticks paired, 8GB x 2.
And I saw your answer in other post, so I did install the ram on A1 and B1 slots.
My PC has been to changing, almost device changed by another model but power supply still same. however I bought the power in may.
And I saw same problem still during 3 months.

oh godd... I guess cause of the problem is 'anti surge support' function.
I did set disable the funcion, It still working perfectly during stress test, and end my stress.
