BIOS Name Forrmat for USB Flashback?

Hi guys,

I want to use the BIOS flashback option on my Max VIII Formula board.

What is the format for the BIOS name on the USB stick? (Asus-1902.CAP perhaps?)

The flashback utility in AI Suite 3 reports "Without latest BIOS!" when I try to run the update BIOS. It reports the current BIOS to be "Version: 1902".

I couldn't find any way of exporting the current BIOS to the USB stick...

Thanks...

rename the bios file to M8F for Maximus VIII Formula so it will be M8F.cap for USB Flashback method

Hi RobSys and Menthol

You can update the bios with the EZ flash 3 utility in the bios, no usb stick is required.

Select via internet and DHCP, it works great I've used it twice.

Thanks guys...

The real issue is that when my system starts and AI Suite kicks in, it keeps on coming up with an annoying window about the bios...

If the above solution doesn't work, AI Suite goes into the bin...

Do you have the latest IMEI driver installed?

Of course...

BUT... I upgraded from a Maximus VII formula to the VIII formula. I only updated the drivers by installing over the old ones.

When I get time, I will do a clean install of Win10... Maybe that will fix it...

Ahh yes it's always good to do a fresh windows install with a new board.
