I am running on the Maximus VIII hero alpha. In regards to the specter/meltdown security issue,
if I update my management engine driver and run the update tool, am I safe with 3504 BIOS, or am I not fully
safe until ASUS releases the 3703 BIOS?

Okay, but have you tried it to see if it works properly ?, come my good corrections by the way. I'm also going to install the new Ai Suite to see how it goes. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?98800-AI-Suite-3-Beta-Version-3-00-10-user-test-report-thr...

Did AI s 3 work?

No, seeing the results so different in other users with my Asus Hero VIII, I will wait until they correct the new Bios, anyway it works correctly for me since I uninstalled the Windows update of Meltdown-Spectre and Ai Suite returned to normality, although I have to say that with some freezing at the start of ignition giving Q-Led codes, but not only serious checks.

I'm going to try it too and I'll tell you.

Edit:
I have tried and it comes out:70502

And I checked the official website again and they have removed it

Edit: they have put it back while I write this message, WTF

I have this RAM: Corsair - DOMINATOR Platinum 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

No BIOS has worked for me since 3401 BIOS. When I enable XMP and try to restart, the system freezes. Have tried *imputing the XMP values manually, increasing DRAM voltage but sadly nothing worked.

It seems awful I have these issues with a 350€ motherboard...

I would appreciate any help...

Hi, I need help, I have an Asus maximus Viii Extreme, I have updated the bios to the 3601 beta version, the operating system does not start, "boot disk inaccessible" error, I have a Samsung m. 2 950 pro, Asus has just released the new firmware 3703 and I have the same problem, the bios has problems recognizing the hard disk and the PC does not start

What Q code are you getting? Code 55?
Try again selecting manual instead of xmp and increase dram voltage from stock voltage, select mode 1 in dram settings in maximus tweak I think, make sure command rate is 2t and see if it will boot?
Also newest bios' provide more stable memory especially for 4 stick kits so make sure you are on the latest bios.

I have the Maximus VIII Extreme too and my M.2 SSD (Samsung 960 Pro) works perfektly. The only Thing I have found is the on off on Problem or is that an Feature then I aktivate XMP and the ErP-Mode (S4 + S5).

I've been waiting on a S4 + S5 fix since 2015! EVERY TIME I boot up I have to unplug my keyboard and plug it back in "CM Storm Quickfire TK Keyboard" cause it tells me "No keyboard detected".

REALLY sick and tired of this!

Seriously, everything else works fine.

Correct, and they have not corrected it yet, I made a support ticket yesterday so hopefully some technician rings the bell tomorrow when it's workweek again ...
