Maximus VIII Gene - Keybot

Is there anything special that needs to be done to get the special keypresses to work while the PC is switched off (ie. to turn on, or to boot into the BIOS)?I do have the Keybot app switched On, and are using a generic USB keyboard in the 'Keybot'...
