Maximus VIII Extreme

I don't see many posts regarding the VIII extreme. Would it be a good alternative to the Hero (if Alpha isn't available soon)? Is it worththe cost difference? I would only do minor overclocking but all the other features seem cool.

Maximus VIII Extreme - m.2 and SATA RAID

I know there are issues with this on the Hero, but does the Extreme allow you to set up SATA RAID and use a non-RAID m.2 at the same time?
