Bad experience with this board (Maxius VIII hero).

Everything was working stable for 3 months on my skylake i7 OT to 4.7Ghz and 1.33v.

Then cpu power supply condensator burned out on back of the board.

Asus refued to accept warranty.

This is not high quality overclocking product. Considering the voltage it would probably happen even without OC few months later.

IMO stay away from this board, this should never happen to decent quality OC board.

Is condensator another word for capacitor? Bummer deal... Good luck in future.

Yup, capacitor.

And yes, bummer deal for sure, lost faith in Asus, buying MSI xtreme titanium now to make sure this don't happen anymore.

Hello

Most likely the onboard 24 pin header. Physical damage is not covered by the warranty. Most header damage is the fault of the power supply as its connectors are the determining factor in relation to the connector mating resistance.

Nope, not the 24 pin header rather backboard capacitor that supplies cpu with power.

It's not the power supply fault at all (Corsair HX1000i) and _not_ pyshical_ damage.

The capacitors burned down through "high voltage" while the voltage were actually quite low (1.33v).

It's bad quality board no other explanation, and asus not accepting warranty is just over the top.
