Got an email today from Asus. DON*T USE BIOS 3504! The bug is the shut off/on upon startup when enabling S4+S5 in Erp Ready in Bios 3504.
This goes for ASUS MAXIMUS HERO VIII

Thanks for your request.

For now, please don't use the latest BIOS, we are trying to find a solution to solve this issue with the latest version.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Have a nice day.

Kind Regards,

Did you uninstall the old Management Engine Interface in control panels, programs first ? or just installed the 2 updates.

I just installed the FW update available under BIOS on the downloads page. Then after the reboot I installed the software package and it updated right over the old one.

Ahh with all the stuff people talking about this bios, I have been really holding out, now this new ME update, but you need 3504 to update it...

Hmm

Why is it that every person out there, apparently, with a motherboard that supports taking BIOS screenshots by pressing F12 so long as they have USB attached storage, insist on taking lousy phone pictures of their bios screens? F12 screenshots have been around since the AM3+ days for many boards, I don't understand why somebody with a board like those from the ROG family wouldn't know this?

Yes, I realize this is an older thread, but it irks me. Call it a pet peeve. If your board doesn't support it, understandable, but my Hero VIII supports it and several Z270 and Z370 boards I've worked with support it so I'd have to assume most mid tier or higher boards from the last few gens, at least, probably support it as well and widely I'd think.

You know what irks me? People who necro a thread over a year old to complain about something not related to the thread's topic.

Seeing as thread has run its course it is now closed.
