Hello there!
I cant see today this mobo on ROG site of motherboards.
Only the ROG MAXIMUS VIII EXTREME/ASSEMBLY at the end.
There is a problem with this mobo or withdrawn from the site for some reason??
I want to buy this mobo for 190euros (new one) and I want to know if this is a ''problematic'' item.
Thanx.

MAXIMUS VIII Z170 upgraded to MAXIMUS IX Z270 which upgraded to MAXIMUS X Z370.

Z170 is LGA1151 but it was made to run SKY, maybe KBL with firmware patch, definitely not CFL.

It's 6th Gen Intel stuff from mid-2016. It's "legacy", half-obsolete. The focus is now all 8th Gen Intel stuff.

I don't know if ASUS discontinued this mobo.
But I doubt they've made any for a couple years, I doubt they still sell any, and I doubt they still have many in stock.

ASUS websites are often kludged up. And seemingly written by technically inept marketing people. And varies from region to region, globally. You can try contacting ASUS with a motherboard inquiry but I wouldn't place much faith in the website itself.

ROG MAXIMUS X (Z370/LGA1151) motherboards ...
MAXIMUS X HERO and HERO (WI-FI) = "good"
MAXIMUS X CODE = "better"
MAXIMUS X FORMULA = "best"
MAXIMUS X APEX = "fastest", stripped down and streamlined for maximum overclocking performance

An EXTREME (better than FORMULA) is eagerly anticipated but has never been announced or confirmed by ASUS.
ASUS usually has an EXTREME variant in each ROG motherboard family ... but not always ... it may never come, and even if it does then it may be a while.
