Hello all,

I build me a new PC only when I put the PC on it says fan error.
The corsair 110I gtx is Connected as followed. 2fans on top pulling
And are connected to the pump. The pump 3pin is connected to the CPU 4pins on the motherboard.
The sata is connected to the psu.
The link is connected on the USB on the motherboard.

When I start you will see the fan error. When I wait to long I see it rises till 80 degrees Celsius.
Then I turn off safely the PC before overheating.

I'm a lil bit noob in this but who can help me out?

Regards.

Connect the pump to the pump header to begin with, it's designed for that purpose specifically. Connect the fans to the splitter and connect that to the CPU optional or whatever it's called. If it still gives you the message, you should be able to disable said message - I believe it was an early in error with AIOs.

I've got Hero Alpha and the h110i gtx. Either go with the stock Corsair approach using the power splitter - you will need to change the fan monitor in BIOS to ignore.

OR

Connect the two fans to the CPU & CPU-OPT headers and the pump to the W/Pump header (as I have done). Works well, only downside being the BIOS doesn't read pump speed. I suspect the pump lead doesn't have a tacho-lead.

I also run a h110i on a Hero 8. I used the same method that BarneyC used, both fans are running off the CPU & CPU Opt headers and the pump is plugged into the Pump header. Sata connector is plugged into Sata power from the PSU. This configuration gives your mobo direct control of the CPU fans. On stock clocks (4.2ghz) my cpu never gets above 50* under load and fans stay at 700 rpm all the time.

Power splitter? I bought it a long time ago. Can't find it..

But the to fans on the CPU & CPU opt is a good option. Only need to buy 2 cables.
Do I need a 3 or 4 pin ?
Is there a special name for it?
And do I have to change something in the bios?

Thnx for your support guys!

Hello Stephan

You could get a pwm fan splitter and connect it to the cpu fan header, connect the pump to cpu_opt or W_Pump header.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812423161&cm_re=PWM_Fan_Splitter_Cable-_-12-42...

If it still gives you the cpu fan error message,on the monitoring tab set cpu fan speed to ignore.

Check temps if they're still high you might want to remount your waterblock and make sure it's making good contact.

Ok I tried that one
No success atm

Bios settings for water pump must be DC or something else?

Thx Nate but it's it possible to use
Fan1 to CPU
Fan2 to CPU opt
Cooler to the wpump?

yes that is ok too.

I mentioned above so you would only need one fan cable going to the motherboard, either way is ok.

What's weird is that I use the splitter on mine and I never had the fan error...
