Asus Maximus 8 Hero Alpha with a 6700K I'm having an issue with my GSkill F4-3200c14D-16GTZ Basically refuses to run the xmp file . I can set manualy to 3200 and voltage set to 1.35 . but cant seem to get it to post at all with timings set manually to rated timings of cl14 14 14 35 . Leaving the timings on Auto post and is stable but cl17 18 18 36 isn't gonna cut it ! Any ideas how to get this squared away ? Thanks !

went with my instinct and manually set these 3 voltages PCH from auto to 1.05 vccio from auto to 1.2 and system agent from auto to 1.2 result = booting in to windows with 3200 cl14 14 14 34 testing stability now . one question though cpuz is showing the tRFC @ 450clocks would anyone know if that is correct ?

Hello Subsider

Good job getting your ram running at its rated specs, if it set the tRFC to 450 clocks on auto that's fine.

Sounds like you should be all set. 🙂

CPU overclocked too?

Nice, you have a screaming fast machine now. 🙂

How do you like the LED lighting?

I do use the logo set blue to match my fans and Leds and the supremefx lighting but I don't use the rgb headers . instead I use individual led's connected to a Bitspower BP-XSLEDPH-BL X-Station LED Power Hub . using 8x blue and 2x UV 5mm Leds . mobo is back lite blue

Awesome !

How nice would I have to ask to get you to show some pics?

Here's mine it's a little blurry but you get the idea, mine's blue too. 🙂

57500

looks good Nate Here's mine 57501 cameras not so good but . I did some custom Acrylic work in blue and black . drive covers , bay cover, optical drive , back panel , tray (top/bottom separator , fan grills ect ... 57502 hard to see but that fan grill is about 3/8 inch thick . took a lot of time getting to proportion and polishing . was maybe half done in this pic

Cool thank you for showing me your pc.

I have my 6700k overclocked to 4.8GHz with 1.52v, it won't pass a stress test but it's game stable. I didn't get a good one from Intel boooooo.

mine will do 4.9 with 1.42v and setting loadline to level 8 in bios haven't treid any farther I'm using a setting of 4.7 w/ 1.40v and loadline level 7 110% stable . once in windows I can actually drop the vcore to 1.39 using AI Suite and I'm still 110% stable but I cant get a clean post at 4.7 with vcore set any lower then 1.4 in the bios
