Asus Maximus 8 Hero Alpha with a 6700K I'm having an issue with my GSkill F4-3200c14D-16GTZ Basically refuses to run the xmp file . I can set manualy to 3200 and voltage set to 1.35 . but cant seem to get it to post at all with timings set manually to rated timings of cl14 14 14 35 . Leaving the timings on Auto post and is stable but cl17 18 18 36 isn't gonna cut it ! Any ideas how to get this squared away ? Thanks !

You have a really good 6700k, I think intel dug down to the bottom of the barrel for my cpu. 😉

Anyway 1.52 is the max safe voltage, you can take stress testing temps to 90c but for gaming and everyday 24/7 use intel says max temp of 64c.

3 hrs with 2 instances of EvE online running 57503 stress test temp don't go above/peak 78c but the radiator catches up quickly , even heavy gaming wont push it above 46-47c on a warm day lol

That looks very good I really like your ram kit, I do believe it's the fastest 3200MHz kit you can get. Here is my 6700k at 4.8GHz, you can see the maximum vcore at 1.52v, I have the BCLK overclocked to 300.

The bus clock is the BCLK and the ring clock is the cpu cache in HWInfo. You can run the cpu cache the same speed as the cpu, your cpu cache is shown as NB Frequency with the ram timings.

Click on the pic a time or two so you can read it.

I just upped the ram voltage to 1.4v and it started working fine on XMP. Latest BIOS might have fixed it but haven't bothered trying to go back to stock so far. Also these modules overclock rather nicely, 3200mhz 14-14-14-35 2T to 3600mhz 15-15-15-30 1T 57506

Hello guys,

I dont open a new thread, so I post here.

I have Hero VIII with 6700K, and run E-die G.SKILL 3200 module 2x8 part number F4-3200C16D-16GVK 16-16-16-36-2N, at 4.8Ghz with 1.400Volt.

and can run XTU 1688marks on setup 14-15-15-28-1T, http://hwbot.org/submission/3343919_rigasgr_xtu_core_i7_6700k_1688_marks

Before this module the local shop sell me the F4-3200C16D-16GVKB (there is a B in the end of part number) on timings 16-18-18-38-2N, not so good as the GVK part number, and not so friendly in overclocking, keep it for 5 days and change it.

With the GVK part number the system stability improve and the overclocking be more stable.

I wonder with the guy there that use the B-die Samsung G.SKILL and the compatibility in overclocking.

I interest to change in this memory, but dont know if the overclock reduced, reason to change is 1st to reduce the IMC voltage, and 2nd keep above 1.5 on IMC in overclocking the memory, maybe bandwith or timings more low.

The 3200-14-15-15-28-1T made with 1.38 voltage, and system is stable for now.

Dont know is the board helps, and the reason is that Xtreme Addict, said in HWBOT that binning mobo's.....YES test mobo to see what happen in memory overclocking,

Thaks for your time, any suggestions and opinions welcome.

P.S sorry for my English if i made some mistakes.
