Asus Impact VIII Z170 + Corsair link? No USB 2.0 header?

Hello! First post here, hopeful that someone can help!

So i got this motherboard today, started to build the new PC but when i was about to connect my good old H100i to the USB 2.0 header, it is nowhere to be found? How am i supposed to use Corsair link without a USB 2.0 Header? 😕 I want to be able to connect the AX860i to the H100i and then to the motherboard but it seems that Asus (Forgot?) to place a 2.0 header...........

Any other ways to get it working?

Sounds like a job for a USB 3.0 20-Pin Motherboard Header Female to USB 2.0 8-Pin Male Adapter.

Thanks guys! I will order one of those and hopefully it will work 🙂 Solved it by connecting the H100i fans to the included Fan extension card that comes with the Impact! But regardless, i want Corsair link to work to be able to monitor the H100i and AX860i..

i got this cooler h100i and connected it with h100 i usb 2.0 header to usb 2.0 header below the mobo and it shows me everythings i connected to the board !
my ssd temp
hdd temp
gpu temp ( and fan speed )
all the fans and rmps
but ! there is no psu in there !

and also upgrade your h100i firmware to the latest ver . 🙂

I ended up using a mini-usb to normal usb2 cable and connecting it at the back of the mobo, works perfect actually, never thought it would work but it does 🙂 Even see my ax860i in corsair link!

Has anyone tried this and does it work well? It looks like a good solution, but I don't want this to end up shorting out the board or USB devices plugged in considering the H100i input would be in use whenever the PC is on.

I used one of these for extending to NZXT Hue+ Corsair Link and H110i GTX on my Hero and it works great plug and play

How does this connect to the motherboard exactly? The 2.0 PINs, or does it have 3.0 included to connect to the board?

My predicament is that my case is already connected to the single USB 3.0 header (no 2.0 header available), so I was wondering if the 3.0 splitter would work to connect my case on one end, then a converter to 2.0 on the other for the link.
