Hi all,

Hero VIII with 6700k - when playing The Division I had HWMonitor open

Checking the VCORE it was going up to 1.42

I think this is too high? (the cpu is not overclocked)

Is this correct? What can I do?

Cheers

It's normal or a tad higher than normal. We keep hearing about performance to power improvements and I think that leads a lot of us to assume our new CPU should require less power than our old one. That just doesn't seem to pan out with Skylake.

Hello spluff.
I dont know much about CPU voltages but i have a 6600k OC up to 4.4ghz and the voltage is 1.280 under load stable with sometimes get a peak of 1.296 And an "under peak" of 1.264. I dont know where u from but if its brand new in the first 15 days u can swap for a new one if its defect, lime in my country, if its the case i would do that for sure, u have a good chance of geting a good CPU sure.
