2202 Bios

The Maximus VIII Ranger just got a 2202 bios to download on the Danish Asus site. It's not on the US one but I'm guessing they are in the progress of doing so.
https://www.asus.com/dk/Motherboards/MAXIMUS-VIII-RANGER/HelpDesk_Download/

Updates are as follows:

MAXIMUS VIII RANGER BIOS 2202
1.CPU uCode update
2.Support more PCIe-1394 devices.

So not so vague notes as usually 🙂

Gskill 3200mhz 16gb (2x8) with 1701 and now with 2202 works perfectly !!!

Those drivers:
Management Engine Interface V11.0.0.1160
Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V10.1.1.7
Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.7786 for Windows
Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Driver V20.2.3001.0
Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V14.6.0.1029
Asmedia SATA Controller Driver V3.1.6.0

Do i need to install those drivers? or i don't really have to?
I saw some of the driver are from last year (i.e - Lan driver)
It's better to let windows decide or to install it by myself?

Yes, chipset driver first then MEI. And I would recommend the Realtek audio and Intel gigabyte ethernet drivers.

IRST driver only if you're running RAID and Asmedia SATA if you plan to those SATA ports.

A UEFI installation of Windows will allow for faster boot times.

Also, setting post delay under boot options from 3 to 0 will help some.

Hello,

Did anyone try Corsair Vengeance 2400 (CMK16GX4M2A2400C14) with 2202bios and XMP? Does it work now?

Thanks

No surprises. CMK16GX4M2A2400C14 XMP with 2202 still does *NOT* work. Thanks Asus.

Try enabling Mode 2 in the memory bios settings.

Also, have you tried upping your bios vccio and system agent voltages to 1.20-1.25 volts? For me 1.2 works with g.skill 3200mhz memory xmp settings.
