XMP 2666 doesn't change strap to 125?

Hi there! I'm trying to OC my 5820k with DDR4 2666 RAM: (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231798)

I noticed that it leaves the strap at 100 Hz instead of the 125 Hz that I would have expected reading things on this forum. It's not
that alarming in and of itself, but I'm thinking it may point to a more fundamental problem with my hardware or configuration. Thoughts?

Hello

The 2666MHz memory divider should work fine using the 100MHz strap. Really no reason to use the 125MHz strap unless one is using a less optimized or broken divider to reach a given memory speed.

Works fine on the 100 Strap. I'm running the same frequency and capacity on a R5E. 🙂
