ASUS sent me the 1903 BIOS on my request for the ROG STRIX X99 GAMING.

With the 1903 overclocking goes again.

Can you share it please so we can download it, like I did with 9001 BIOS ?
I need to try it to see if there is a difference between 9001 and 1903 for STRIX motherboard.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. Yes, I can share BIOS 1903. How can I do that?

for sure, the company that doesn't support 1 year old motherboards, doesn't deserve our support (X99 STRIX).

Hi,
x99 platform is a lot older than that but I agree dropping support after 3 years is silly especially after the Intel security mess
ASUS should be getting Intel to pay for extended support 🙂

And we all should be getting performance refunds from Intel as well !!!!

Yes, I am with you, its Intel responsibility, but ASUS should support us.
I am talking about X99 with BW-E CPU's like STRIX and rampage V not the older one for 5000 series CPU's

Hi,
The workaround has already been posted

Hey there: Solution for RS4 and RS5. With RS4 you can either uninstall the offending KB or replace the mcupdate_genuineintel.dll located in Windows/System32 and disable updates. An annoying process. RS5 is, concerning the mcupdate_genuineintel.dll that is updated with the carpy code, is integrated. So there is no KB to remove, to uninstall. The fix now for is take ownership of that file, rename or delete it and replace it with a version prior to the patch. I used the July 10 2018 version in SXS backup. Works perfect.
Until there's a fix, this is how you get your OC back. Enjoy.
Caveat: Updating to 1809 removes the earlier version of the .dll file you will need to perform this. So either save a copy prior to updating or, find the file version from July.
