Hello,
I want to buy the Asus Rampage V extreme motherboard and i want to install 64gb memory.
I was thinking in the Corsair Dominator® Platinum Series 64GB
Who know what kit works without problems on the Rampage V ?
Or other options for 64GB kit.

Thanks,
Walter

Other kits that work ?

Sure. But be aware that the further you stray from 2133MHz, the more tweaking will require for you to get them stable.

Using a Corsair Dominator Platinum Kit here (64GiB, rated 2666).

While it does work and is rock solid, at least my kit (in combination with my Cpu's MC) required a lot, and I mean a lot, of tweaking as 8 DIMMs seem to stress the MC quite a bit.

I am just saying this as I recognized that many people interested in the X99 platform, and especially the R5E, think of it as plug'n'play where it really is not. Maybe the 'Gamers' In 'Republic of Gamers' makes people think that the products are OSI-layer 8 proof. 😛

So don't expect any 8 DIMM kit to work out of the box - at least not with the rated speeds - but once you got it up and running it works just fine.

@Onimax Do you have a sort of guide from the tweaking you did ?

There's not really a way to go or specific settings that are globally valid.
Chino's guide for example is an excellent starting point.

Other than that it all comes down to tweaking VCCSA (essentially the MC's voltage), DRAM Voltage, BCLK and primary and secondary timings - and if you really want to also tertiary timings, but the benefit of going down this rabbit hole is really not that great.

Often times if you only want to get XMP profiles to work, the only thing you have to adjust is the VCCSA.
In my case I essentially just needed a slight bump of the VCCSA to get my kit running stable at the advertised speed of 2666 MHz. (Not that I stopped there ^^)

Thanks Onimax.

I am using the Gskills Ripjaws 4 F4-2800C15Q2-64GRK

You can use the XMP settings with some very slight voltage tweek to get 2800 out of them...no problems at all.
