Warning: Kernel-PnP Event 219 & ACPI Event 15

Im frequently finding these two errors in my system window logs.

Source Kernel PnP: Event 219: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&2.

Source ACPI Event 15: : The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS.

I've searched and I've tried all of the fixes(ive found) regarding these errors. Some say to ignore them and some people have fixed them. Im unsure of what to do. The error pops every 15 minutes or so. First the Kernel PnP then a few minutes later I get 4 ACPI errors in a row. I tried installing the WUDFRd driver that was on the MB cd but that didnt help.

Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Im on BIOS 1302. I just bought the board about 2 weeks ago. Using 5960x chip and 16gb 3200mhz gksill ram. W8.1. Happens on stocks clocks w/ default MB settings. I tried turning off fast boot but that didnt help. I cant think of any other MB settings.

Have you've installed the Asus Probe II Sense Driver?

Im pretty sure I have. Is that driver in the AMDA00 folder on the driver DVD? I just doubled clicked AsusSetup.exe and let it do its thing.

That's correct.

I re-installed it a few days ago and possibly when I first installed this MB.

I'm still having this issue. I installed Asus Probe II Sense Driver and the Asus Suite. Is there anything else I could be missing? 1402 bios didnt help, but Im not sure if its me or a bug.

Thanks for any advice!

Very common to see that in the Event Viewer and I have them too despite having the AMDA00 installed. I choose to ignore it since there's nothing wrong with my rig, at least to my eye. If you have continuous BSOD and hardware failures then that would be the cause of concern obviously.

Besides that error, everything else is also running great in my rig.

I was thinking about returning it back to newegg and go for a new one. I'll just keep it as is then. Thank you for saving me the frustration guys.

Do all of the Rampage Vs do this? What else do you think we can do to fix this? Its giving me OCD, hehe. Its the only error and its bugging the crap out of me. 😛

I think all PCs have them at some point - it's not solely an Asus or even an RVE thing. I used to try and do something about it until it occurred to me that there's nothing wrong with my rig. Heh, maybe there's one way, clear the logs and then you won't see them until the next time - no don't that was a joke. 😄
