I do not know what the Logitech thing means...but I use a logitech keyboard and mouse and they both worked fine before and after 1801...so unless you actually have a problem with it I would say you don't need to update at all.
I just don't understand the performance difference you are seeing...and can't think of something that could cause that much of a difference!
😮 heh...the intel OC...just for validation...quick overclock on very cold water...
Have you run AIDA at stock...no OC...on 1701 and 1801...?

Nah...sorry it's not solved...but yeah stay on 1701 for now...the pragmatic thing to do...
I suppose you went through BIOS RAM settings looking for differences?...I just don't know...you try adding a bit more cache voltage on 1801?

I hate to have an issue without knowing the cause.

Yeah I know what you mean!
Have you tried checking CPUz when on 1801 to check all 4 DIMMs are up and running?
Have you tried giving them a bit more voltage? VDIMM or VCCSA...might be the OC settings on 1701 are not quite enough on 1801? Though if stock is affected equally
Sometimes updating BIOS is definitively not worth it!
