So, it's coming right? 😄

The Deluxe is such a smart board how will the RVE top that?

You getting one?

What are you putting in it? 8 cores or six? PCIe SSD or M2 if its on there? What RAM?

Discuss...

Don't discuss...when it'll be in the shops...why you can't buy one...or any other spoiled brat nonsense...do that here

I didn't really have any problems either, I can't say for sure it was the VRM heat that was my problem.

What I noticed was that I was getting lower cpu scores then I should in vantage for example, @5.2G you should get 52k or more with a 3930k. I was lower than that. I never saw the cpu throttling in any benchmarks. With blocks I'm getting better cpu scores that are much better, I'm getting 52k in vantage at only 5,1Ghz. My board was on a phobya bench with two 120mm fans blowing directly on the VRM.

So I can't say for a fact that VRM heat was the problem, but I think it may have played some part 🙂

Interesting...yes, I got about 53k at 5.2

I too looked for throttling and never saw any or at least nothing I could recognise....maybe I could have done better water cooled...only way to know is do it I guess and compare...

Yeah, why not indeed..especially with the high flow parallel design..

I'm kind of the same with the new storage interfaces...or at least I was...now I am simply going to get one of these http://www.anandtech.com/show/8104/intel-ssd-dc-p3700-review-the-pcie-ssd-transition-begins-with-nvm...

I came here to check to see if there are any install and set up problems related to my new RVE.Do none of you actually own this board yet? Will there be a thread about these present (as in no longer "Future") X99 boards? Here is a thread in a Forum by actual owners of the RVE you may find of interest: http://www.overclock.net/t/1510001/asus-rampage-v-extreme-owners-thread/0_100

I would not cool motherboard separate, but if EKWB offer Monoblock than WHY NOT?
I'm totally confused with M.2 and SATA Express, dimension, support, compatibility...

I hear MSI offer some Turbo up to 32 Gb/s using Gen3 x4. M.2.
Maybe other miss to offer something like that.
If ASUS think to present Rampage 5 Extreme Black better to do that soon.
R3E BE, R4E BE came few months before new Xtreme chipset and innovations and very small number of people enjoy in them.
Better to say many people didn't pay much attention because they are concentrated on new platforms.
Black Version should be presented immediately with little higher price and maybe some improvements if need.
Maybe Turbo M.2, Asmedia USB 3.1...

Honestly I dunno why MSI was getting all hopped up on their so called "turbo" M.2 port, the RVE also has an M.2x4 slot. ASRock also has it, called "Ultra M.2"...even Gigglebyte has them too.
