[Solved. Sort of... ] BIOS bug? ACPI Event 15 errors in event viewer.

BIOS Version: 0901
Mobo: Rampage V Extreme

Event viewer lists four Event 15 errors at the moment.

The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS.

On very rare occassions the PC hardlocks with the audio buzzing. Q-Code = 02 "System is entering S2 Sleep state". I'm assuming that this is an ACPI//ASL checkpoint value and does not indicate powerup progression. This has happened twice so far while I was doing nothing more than watching videos.

I'm not sure if this is related but DipAwayMode.exe faults at every bootup.

I removed AISuite 3 with all components and got no more ACPI Event 15 errors and no DipAwayMode faults. It remains to be seen if that will stop the rare Q-Code 02 hardlock.

Yes, need to use latest AI Suite and drivers from ASUS Support page.

Just a question. Do we need to install Probe II Sense driver before installing Ai Suite III or it doesn't matter?

Raja

I would install the Probe II sense driver as well. Also any Windows updates.

Ok thank you. I installed Ai Suite III without the Probe II Sense driver until by chance I saw some posts about what AMDA00 Interface driver is for. Do you think we should have that have included in a guide explaining what is that for. The information is missing in the manual.

Just be sure to install all the things on the disc or on the support site in future.

Sound advice - I will do that from now on - thanks once again.

Have you solved the errors showing in the event viewer with the released ai suite. 3?
