Shiny spot CPU socket

Hi
Just unpacked my Asus Rampage V motherboard and saw a shiny spot in the CPU socket. Is this normal or is one of the pins bent or defective ?
The 5960 x CPU seems to fit onto it without any problems.
What should I do ?
Should I go ahead with Installation or do something else ?
Help please !

You could look at the pins with a magnifying glass or zoom in with a camera phone. I use my iPhone as magnifier. Examine all the pins and see if they are all straight. If they are then go ahead and do your build.
