I'm not sure if this is software, fan, or motherboard specific/dependent, but I'm curious what the operating range is, percentage-wise through the Fan Xpert software, for all of the PWM headers on the motherboard? And do the CPU and Chassis fan headers allow for the same range?
I had the board hooked up while testing, but I forgot to check how low I could configure the fan speed, and, unfortunately, I'm in the phase where things are mounted and cabling is going in. And, just to include this, I'm not worried about output amperage or anything like that, since I'm using Phobya fan splitters which use only the PWM signal from the board's header(s), and are powered separately through a 12v molex connector.
Finally, I ask for two reasons:
1) I had an MSI Godlike X99 that allowed me to run a very low RPM from only select headers.
2) I have an Asus Rampage IV Black Edition X79 board where Fan Xpert only allows for certain headers to be tuned very low, while others seem to have an artificial floor of 60% (I forget the exact value, but it's way too high). The version of Fan Xpert on this particular X79 board is obviously an older version, so that may be the cause of this, but, again, I'm not sure if this is software, fan, or motherboard dependent.
