ROG Connect/Plus etc

I have a Rampage V Extreme USB 3.1and I have connected the OC-panel on the front to one of the two usb-connectors on the motherboard, so the ports on the top of my case won't work. I don't want to use an external laptop to control the panel.

Questions:
1. Should I use ROG Connect or ROG Connect Plus if Im controlling the panel on the same computer?
2. Is there some button on the motherboard I need to press(I see there is a ROG-button on the back of the computer)?
3. Anything else I need to do? Any more buttons?
4. In what order should I perform these steps? Should I press the rog button when the computer is off, then install the ROG-program?

Thanks.

1. No, the OC Panel does not require ROG Connect.

2. To use the OC Panel? No, you don't need to push any button on the motherboard.

3. Nope.

4. Not sure what you mean.

Is there any driver for the OC-panel? It doesnt show the right temperatures. What does the ROG-button do at the back?

No driver is needed for the OC Panel. Also take into consideration that the OC Panel measures the temperature differently compared to your monitoring software. If by the ROG button you're referring to the one that has a little chain symbol, that's for the USB BIOS Flashback feature.

There's a firmware update for the OC Panel. Did you install the firmware?
