Random restarts with 3009 and 3101

I have used every single bios extensively as they have been released; all on default settings. With bios 3009 and 3101, I am experiencing random, hard resets. This doesn't happen under load; it can happen even at idle or small load. Oddly, I didn't even have this issue with the beta 3008 bios. Any suggestions as I would like to keep my bios up to date.

2101 here still, and zero issues.
Looks like the 3xxx line is simply trash.

Performance actually does seem to improve once you get 3101 working. In my case, I didn't have to adjust the voltages, I did have to lower memory from CR1 to CR2, but the performance improvement more than made up for it (2k more memory read than I got with CR1 on 2101, and 5% better L3 cache speeds) in Aida benchmark. It may be that if you were riding right on the stability edge with your voltages, 3101 might need a bit of a bump on voltages or loosening of memory timings/CR to get stable, but you may still wind up having better performance than before. I did.

Nonny, you mean you're having issues with 3101 at optimized defaults? No overclock at all? Wow. That is weird. Dunno what to suggest for that beyond, yeah, stick to 2101.

Yes with 3101 , just Defaults , no tuning, no OC , normaly all was working well with Asus BIOS updates also other Boards before no stress for example the R4BE i had no problems , but the
3x line dosent work so good for me , no idea what could that be , sad a little bit because i like also to be up to date with my stuff , but 2101 works good so fare no stress here but still why the new
one dont work as good like 2101 ... maybe the next one i will give it a try again 🙂

I had serious booting and system stability problems but after I moved all my USB 2.0 hubs and 2.0 compatible peripheral devices to USB 2.0 Motherboard's port seems it got stabilized. At least Windows does not behave anymore like it has a virus infection or something. Luckily for me this motherboard has two USB 2.0 ports on the backpanel...

PS
I do not OC. I keep my rig on default settings. Hardware Specification is in my profile.

Hello marlowe,

Same as you. Doesn't seem to be NVIDIA's fault for once. Tested 368.xx, back to 362 still having hard resets with 3000 (3 yesterday !). Went back to BIOS 2001 yesterday evening so far so good...

I am running bios version 2001 with Nvida driver 362.00 after a few hours my system will still go into a random reboot. Everything is set to stock, no over clocking.
What bothers me with all of this is that no matter what bios I use I eventually get a reboot after wards. I have not had this issue until i updated the bios with 2101.

My system specs below, and I have performed a clean install of the OS, drivers, cleared the CMOS, checked and tested memory, everything seems to check out \

Same as you. Since reverting to 2001, system is rock stable... Asus, still nothing ?
