Random restarts with 3009 and 3101

I have used every single bios extensively as they have been released; all on default settings. With bios 3009 and 3101, I am experiencing random, hard resets. This doesn't happen under load; it can happen even at idle or small load. Oddly, I didn't even have this issue with the beta 3008 bios. Any suggestions as I would like to keep my bios up to date.

I'm now on latest 2xxx (2101)
Will update you guys on how it goes.

I'm avoiding 3xxx like the plague.

PS: No OC, all stock settings.

This. Premium motherboard. Premium price. Substandard customer support. I'm on 2101 now, but I'd like to be on 3101 because of the updated modules. But no way am I taking that chance.

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH BIOS 3301 GET RANDOM RESTARTS OUT THE BLUE I WAS STABLE ON OLDER BIOS, 2XXX, 2XXX
WAS PRETTY STABLE ARE YOU STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS MOTHER BOARD MY SYSTEM SPECS ARE AS FOLLOWS
RAMPAGE EXTREME V
TITAN 12GB EVGA
6950X I7
DDR4 3300 MHZ

I cannot stand this unpredictability i am thinking about downgrading my processor so i can get 2XXX BIOS
I AM RUNNING A DUPLICATE RIG WITH THE SAME SPECS WITH 2XXX BIOS I AM 100% SURE THIS IS BIOS RELATED,
ITS RUNNING SMOOTHLY BEFORE IT WAS RUNNING ON THE 3XXX BIOS THEN IT DID HARD RESETS RANDOMLY AS WELL LET ME KNOW WHAT
YOU'RE EXPERIENCING ASUS NEEDS TO FIX THIS SERIOUSLY

I AM RUNNING EXTENSIVE TESTS WITH SAME HARDWARE BUT 5960 XI7 PROCESSOR WITH BIOS 2001

CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had 5 days of zero random crashes on 3301 then turned on Intel virtualisation for the android on windows emulator Haxm.
It was OK that first evening but the next day it restarted about 1 minute after boot then again after a following 5 minutes.

Turned it off again and so far so good after 2 days.

I also would like the chime in with these hard restarts. recently Iv'e also been getting the windows "Your win10 pc has encountered an error, we will restart for you" on the first boot after a hard-commanded restart. I also get that windows error the first time I turn my computer on after an extended period of being off (hours).

If 3008 works for you and you do not need any other features, you should keep it. Especially 3101 for stability for some hardware and 3009 is fixes:
1. Updated iROG1 firmware to version 0515.
2. Improve system compatibility.
3. Support GPI's SMI event.

If you are not using 1 or 3, you should go back to 3008.
Sincerely,
Legolas

Rolling back is one thing (I haven't tested my system with 3008). But may we hope Asus will fix those serious reliability issues ? 😄 I mean for real ? And quick ? 🙂

3101, same issue here and I don't even have Firefox installed, only Chrome.
Hope for a quick fix from ASUS.

I used 3008 for weeks and never had any issues, but I reverted to 2101 just to be safe. You guys may have luck with 3008. Either way, they need to fix the latest bios. I'm really anal about having my stuff up to date and it kinda bugs me. lol

3101 Restarts after making a coffee. Default settings nothing modded... This BIOS is a crap! It goes POST very long, it doesn't work with AI Suite as it should anymore and it restarts- crap!
