Random restart to BIOS, then stuck in BIOS?

This threads derived from my 901 BIOS thread as I thought I had an issue with that BIOS and rolled back to 802.

My issue is this.

The PC will sit idle on the desktop, I am never there and it doesn't BSOD according to the event viewer.

I will lose connection via Teamviewer or notice it isn't online and WOL will fail to wake the PC.

When I head up to the PC it is sat on the BIOS screen, I am unable to make any changes that allow me to save & exit and get back to booting into windows.

I can shutdown and power up to go to BIOS instead of it POSTing then attempting to boot.

It shows both intel RAID array online and the intel boot is the only option as expected yet it will just return to the BIOS screen.

If I try and load a saved BIOS profile it just locks up.

If I reset the BIOS or load defaults and start again it becomes bootable.

I am overclocked to 4.4 on a 9530 pushing 1.28v to the core, Adaptive voltage and auto cache (runs at 30). Most of the other settings are auto.

Totally stumped.

It runs a GTX980, I have ditched the Phoebus soundcard for the onboard one due to feedback so that has been ruled out.

waiting to find out, it is so random and took days to come back last time, I am burning electric to see if it does.

Might toss the other chip in after a few more days and try the 4.4 settings again.

It's just this stuck in BIOS setup thats thrown me, never had this before on anything I have overclocked.

The RAID OROM utilizes memory space - so if the system is unstable due to the overclock being applied, it may impact BOOT behavior.

Thanks for the reply Raja

would this cause it to just reboot while idle and get stuck in BIOS setup without logging a BSOD?

Otherwise it is Prime stable and runs the ASUS stability tests without a hitch staying under 50 degrees on water.

Yes possibly.

I'd try with no OC for a while and see what happens.

complete stock settings still, got home and no teamviewer so I tried to WOL, Went upstairs to find the PC turned on but monitor off, code 6F on the LED.

No option other than hitting CMOS reset again, so same issue but not even getting to BIOS now?

Disable the options that automatically put your system to sleep or hibernation. See if that solves your problem.

It has never had an issue before with sleep, WOL normally snaps it out of that. Stock settings causing this?

Could it be related to me changing the CPU input voltage in Aisuite then setting it back to defaults that caused it ?

It had gone to sleep mode from what I can gather as the Wife said the OC panel was lit up when she went to hit the power button for me.
