I found new bios 3801 for R5E on the ASUS web site.
The release date was 01 Dec 2017. It seems that the change log was almost same but They must have fixed several issues.

1. Change log (from ASUS web site)
- Improved DRAM stability
- Fix Logitech devices issue.
- Fix Intel I211 Lan issue

2. download link: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/Rampage_V_Extreme/RAMPAGE-V-EXTREME-ASUS-3801.zip

I have a few follow up questions:

The new BIOS 3801 loaded correctly and is working with the 5930?

How long was the 6950X in there before the BIOS update?

Was the 5930 ever installed before?

Are you going to warranty RMA the 6950X with Intel?

Hello Red454,
The Bios was just uploaded and the computer does a shut down, never able to power on again.
The 6950X has been working on this Motherboard for 1 week.
When I bought the 6950X, it was sealed.
And Yes I will take the Cpu to the seller to send to Intel.
But tomorrow I'm going to test it on an X99 Deluxe .. to check if it's not a problem with the Rampage V.

That was going to be my next question!

Hi Red454,
I tested the 6950X on a X99 Deluxe and it is dead ... Has the same behavior on both Motherboards, wont power on 😞
Monday I will bring the Cpu to the store to be sent to Intel.. 😞

Thanks Everyone!!

I wonder which Logitech devices. I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse with no obvious issues. (Logitech G19S and G600)

The Logitech Brio camera does not work at all after the Win10 Creators update. I am hoping this will be fixed.

Corsair and Logitech both have the ****tiest drivers I have come across.

So I have a i7-5930k that was on BIOS 3701 working perfectly fine, switched to second bios to flash to 3801, and now system will not boot, it will power up with post code 95, also I have the OC panel which is showing that the system is not clocking, so it looks like the BIOS update fried my CPU, or the motherboard is bricked from the BIOS update, I did the bios update using bios flashback...

Samukas I think your CPU died from the update...not sure if the CPU still under warranty, will have to check, if not will ASUS replace it?!? Not very happy about this...please advise...

Thanks!*

Monday the Cpu will be delivered to the store to go to Intel.
Let's see what Intel has to say about it.
Updating BIOS is killing Cpus.. Yes, I'm P****
I have all my 3D work behind schedule because of this.

My CPU from Intel will arrive on Monday, I will test and see if all is good, and report back my findings, I will be trying 3801 again, luckily CPU is still under warranty...can we get an official statement from ASUS? Is 3801 bad? Maybe more sesitive CPU’s are blowing out? Or just a fluke?

With 3701 on my 5960 I've got a stable overclock with CPU 4.3 GHz @1.248V and Cache 4.2 GHz @1.206V. With 3801 it's not stable. So back to 3701 for me.
