Turns out the latest Logitech G software for my G910 has a Discord applet that sits there burning about through 50% usage of 1 core. Deleted the applet - CPU as now idles at about 15W when not in use and SpeedStep is back to working normally. Much better!

Bios is a lot better though post doesn't show my correct CPU speed.

Bios 3701 is pure ****. i got temps above 80 now , it uses to much power.

Thats strange for me temps are fine I can finally get 45Mhz cpu & 3000 ram again sinve 1902I could only ever get 44 & 2666.This biosworks really wel for myself.

Sorry not sure I understood what you mean I have a 5930k all physical cores are fine. Do you mean hyperthreads when you say virtual cores or do you mean virtualizstion? I run VM's on my rig just fine, as long as you enable virtualization in the bios

After update on 3701 BIOS instead 16GB Windows see 15.9GB.
CPU-Z and Motherboard BIOS recognize 16GB. 86MB is hardware reserved.
When I had 0603 BIOS I had 16GB as well.
Other difference is BLCK on Auto in CPU-Z now show 100.2 MHz Bus Speed,. before was 99 MHz.
That's known change or not...and default Cache is 3000MHz not 2400 as old one.

If someone know way how to recover full 16GB instead 15.9 it would be nice to help me.
Intel Diagnostic Tool FAIL IMC test, I suppose 15.9GB have some influence because test fail at Memory Size.
HCI Memtest, Real Bench up to 16GB, Prime95, Intel Xtreme Utility (Memory and CPU), AIDA64 all Stress test pass normally.

I don't know how to back full 16GB capacity as before with some older BIOS.
No matter how many modules are installed or where always is 100MB less.
Maybe ASUS Flashback BIOS without memory installed could help? If someone have different advice I listen.
It's not urgently but I would like to fix that.
All tries as msconfig and maximum memory checked, uncked read 16 GB but immediately when I press OK don't react on change.
That probably mean that's connected with motherboard BIOS and he take 100mb without reason (86MB exactly).

If someone have advice for some other BIOS or know some special good BIOS version for 16GB 2666 and i7-5820K could recommend as well.
But this 3701 look stable.

After update Windows 10 1503 to 1703 Installed Memory is again 16GB and Intel Diagnostic Test IMC - PASS!
I knew that was problem, not IMC in processor.
Now I could think on GPU upgrade not to spend 250e for i7-6850K. 😄
