Sorry for your loss bro. This happened to me during an update a while back. I lost 2 x RAID 0 setups and the BIOS slot was permanently corrupted (or so I thought). I learned 2 x things the hard way with this board:

1. before you update the bios, ALWAYS unplug every SATA drive (hard drive or SSD). You just have to do it man, it only takes an extra 10 minutes to pull the cables and then plug them back in after you updated.

2. always update your BIOS this way, and ONLY this way:

I thought that BIOS slot was lost forever from the update failure. But, I did what is in the link I just pasted, and I recovered the slot! Complete with a successful update as well. So try out that link, it can't hurt. Ohh and make sure you un plug all your SATA devices 🙂

I always updated succesfully with Ez flash in the bios. Never had any problems. And what i can see, RAID setups got more problems after update than normal Sata/ahci setup. I never unplugged my hdd/ssd when doing an bios update. And updated my bios 3 times, without any hiccups or problems. BIOS 1502 is really stable and brings the inner beast "ROG" out from the RVE. Asus support is really good! They bringing an bios update almost every month! Thats what i call support. And i think they can squize out much more performance and get it more stable with time! Remeber 2011-3 X99 is not mature.

im having great luck with this new bios. previous unstable overclocks are now stable without any further changes. also i have shaved about 2 seconds off boot times from my pcie ssd. i have to say im pleased!

BIOS 1502 works fine for me. I'm not noticing any performance increases, though.

There is nothing wrong with this bios, it works like a charm. If your having issues it's probably something else, if you want bios issues try another brand of mainboard to see the support you get.
vmanuelgm,
I have the 512 GB version so it has a little higher specs, unless you optimize your system it is not going to obtain the advertized specs, especially after you have all tour programs installed and it's been used for awhile.

now another user has posted he has the identical issue. Specs are far from the same so the common factor is bios 1502.

Cant agree, my friend.

Since the very first try, just installed without a thing in it, the m.2 slot is slower than via pciexpress arise card...

You can try it for yourself, using hyperkit or another one...

The test in done with sm951 256 in pciexpress slot 16x... You can read it in "test"...

I'm happy with the 1502 Bios. XMP worked great, all drives fine (inc m.2 drive and SSD's). I actually seem to have less cold boot-up issues so far.

I've notice a problem with this bios. When I configure the bios with BCLK 100 and multiplier 44 strap 100:133, I notice after saved and reset bios that in Monitor Hardware, on my right, frequency is 4200 and ratio 42x? But if i use 100x44 because appeared 100x42 (4200). In windows all is ok. Important note it's that I not use XMP but manual mode.
Thanks
