Sorry for your loss bro. This happened to me during an update a while back. I lost 2 x RAID 0 setups and the BIOS slot was permanently corrupted (or so I thought). I learned 2 x things the hard way with this board:
1. before you update the bios, ALWAYS unplug every SATA drive (hard drive or SSD). You just have to do it man, it only takes an extra 10 minutes to pull the cables and then plug them back in after you updated.
2. always update your BIOS this way, and ONLY this way:

I thought that BIOS slot was lost forever from the update failure. But, I did what is in the link I just pasted, and I recovered the slot! Complete with a successful update as well. So try out that link, it can't hurt. Ohh and make sure you un plug all your SATA devices 🙂

There is nothing wrong with this bios, it works like a charm. If your having issues it's probably something else, if you want bios issues try another brand of mainboard to see the support you get.
vmanuelgm,
I have the 512 GB version so it has a little higher specs, unless you optimize your system it is not going to obtain the advertized specs, especially after you have all tour programs installed and it's been used for awhile.
There are many guides on optimizing your OS for better SSD response and longer life span
