Rampage V Extreme intermittent Ram/Power Issues

Hi Guys,

Recently did a new build with all new gear, and I'm a bit stumped at some of the issues I get sometimes...

Issue #1 Sometimes only half my ram is detected, windows says I have 16GB, whilst at the same time CPU-Z says I have 32GB, Bios also sometimes states 16GB.

Issue #2 When turning on(before post), it will turn itself off, then back on, and then repeat that once more, before succesfully loading up.

Hardware:

Rampage V Extreme
i7 5930k
GTX 980 x2
32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2888
NZXT Hale 90v2, 850 wats
2xSSD in Raid0 and a 3TB HDD
Noctua NH-D14

Only thing Id mention is the CPU Cooler is rather large, so large infact I couldn't attach the RAM coolers, also I couldn't use certain RAM slots

The only BIOS settings that have been set are the DRAM settings using XMP, everything else is default (didn't want to do anything crazy immediately)

If I could get a pointer in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated, im a bit skeptical at how stable this thing is...

Edit: Also OS is 8.1 Pro

Its a single kit, 4 sticks, 8GB each.

Also Bios is apparently version 1103

By design, you should be using the red slots first. You'll just need to find a way to accomodate your RAM under the Noctua NH-D14.

Hello

You need to use the memory slots for the number of modules inserted as shown in the included user manual. Any other slot configuration is not valid and further troubleshooting cannot be done till the memory is installed in the correct slots.

Ok, well the RAM is still in its crazy slots, however I updated the BIOS, after Chino made me think I probably should, and it works fine.

Turns out on the Driver Support page is a link to the CPU's/RAM that is supported by that bios version, and funnily enough it was only supported when 1301 came out, so I updated to 1401 and now it works great. Thanks guys, all it took was a little hint and now its running perfecto.
