Rampage V extreme Compatible with 16GB Ram sticks?

My PC right now has Rampage V Extreme as the motherboard and Core i7 5930K as the CPU. I know the motherboard supports up to 64GB RAM, but I found a kit of 32GB, that consists of two 16GB Sticks (HyperX Predator 3000MHZ CL15 HX430C15PB3K2/32). My current BIOS version is 0802 (Don't know how to update BIOS). The Motherboard can support the kit, or I will have to find a similar kit that consists of 4 8GB sticks?

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day 🙂

Note: Please let me know if the sticks will be compatible only in case I will update to the Latest BIOS Version.

Hi Killer0C

Actually your board supports up to 128GB of ram and you will need bios 1502 or later to support 16GB sticks.

You'll want a 4x8GB kit to have quad channel.

What is better? dual channel or quad channel in my case? (price is not an issue, and the sticks will be identical in speed, latency/timings and voltages)
Also How do I update to the latest BIOS version (I've never done such a thing before)?

Are you sure that the original Rampage V Extreme Supports up to 128GB RAM? (The original one from August 2014/ not the U3.1 VERSION)

That's what I'm running. Actually I even wrote about it. 128GB DDR4 Memory Setup For Rampage V Extreme

Yes, the motherboard supports 16GB memory modules. I was running 128GB (8x16GB) of Savage DDR4 from HyperX on my Rampage V Extreme before switching to the Rampage V 10 Edition.

Yes the original rampage v extreme supports up to 128GB of ram with bios 1502 or later.

For 32GB a 4x8GB kit would be what to get for quad channel.

To update the bios format a usb flashdrive to FAT32 and rename the bios file to R5E.CAP

This is using the bios flashback method.

I know this is 8 years too late but... does anyone know if 128gb is the current max for this motherboard? If so, will 2 identical 64gb kits (4 x 16gb) work? Haven't seen any 8 x 16gb kits anywhere...
