Rampage V Edition 10 + ExtremeFX Unit (no sound)

Hi guys quick question. I don't understand what I am missing here. Here is the situation.

I have Rampage C Edition 10 and I just hooked up FX unit. It was collecting dust in the box so I decided to test out it with my Beats headphones. I connected USB to the motherboard (I had to use USB3 to USB 2 adapter cause I am out of USB2, our board have only 2 plugs)

I connected 6pin power and installed drivers. I installed realtek and FX drivers.

Now here is the problem. I don't hear anything. If I connect my headphones to the motherboard in the back or front panel, right away I see windows telling me it see my headphones and RealTek control panel pops up. But If I connect same headphones to 3.5 mm jack in ExtremeFX unit ...nothing happen.

If I select it as default unit and play something , I see bars moving in sound control panel so I know signal is there, at list on the screen, but no sound, and no pop ups like with motherboard/front panel inputs. Any idea on what a hell is going on because I am clueless. I did tried diffirent cheap iphone headphones ... same story front panel works, negative on FX unit.

I did same thing I went to sound control and enable as default internal sound to test headphones , then switched to FX by defaulting it in sound control.

I also selected 3.5mm in SupremeFX control Panel. But again nothing is happening but I see bars moving when playing something, I see it in device manager ... odd

Please help out if you can. Also when opening SupremeFX Hi-Fi Control Panel and selecting 3.5mm or 6.3mm jack and press OK, what should happen ? Because for me, nothing happening. Yet they're talking about test impedance and select high-speed option. Where do I do all that ? Cause in Realtek control panel I don't see it. In my understanding this ASUS Sonic Studio IS RealTek control Panel but with ROG skin and stuff. Because I know RealTek normal panel and it does not look like this, ROG is not there and some other things diffirent.

Here are some images.

Device manager. No yellow marks or anything.

Sound Control Panel showing FX is selected as default unit.

RealTek Audio MAnager as I see it. I see on top it said SupremeFX, but ... I see nothing in terms of ports available on the bottom like they're showing analog ports, rear ports and digital.

SupremeFX Hi-Fi Control Panel, once I select 3.5 and click OK ...nothign happens.

Please let me know may be I am missing something.

Thank you !

P.S.

I did tried to turn a nub, may be it's too low ..... NOPE 😞

Ok cool, didn't get that 😉 my fault.

Having the same issue with Windows 10 AU. The lack of response from ASUS is what really disappoints me, I was expecting more from such a premium product.

i can't tell if a have the same issue with extreme fx because i do'nt have enough usb 2.0 plug ins on the MB to connect it... but i do have an issue with sonic studio
after i updated to win 10 anniv.

do you guys have the same prob?

Hard to say, as most of the issues relating to my DAC/Audio issues with the Anniversary Update are due to the DAC being plugged in.
Onboard audio works (but Sonic Studio doesn't), DAC doesn't work full stop and as an added bonus, the SupremeFX service prevents the monitor from entering sleep (this was really annoying me)..........

.........as soon as the DAC is disabled in Device Manager and software is removed (don't have to disconnect the unit), Sonic Studio works fine, sleep issues are gone etc

Yes, I had the exact same issue, having so few internal USB ports in the RE10. So I solved it purchasing an internal USB Switch

This one from NZXT:

It only costs 16€

And you have tons of connectors, (MB connectors and even traditional USB connectors, which can be handy for cable management)

Also having problems with this thing. I've posted in a bunch of threads, and saw this one too so figured I'd throw in a response. Even before the anniversary update, the thing barely worked. I had to turn it all the way up, and even then I had to strain to hear anything. Furthermore, everyone said my voice sounded muffled. Go back to the STX I was using and everything is clear as a bell and my voice is crystal. I thought this would be an upgrade!! At the very least the same quality so I could give the STX to my wife. Instead, you spend $600 and we're still running on beta drivers with no comment from the company. This is nuts. There are so many threads on this issue, and no clear answer. One would think that a beta driver would have been updated by now!!!

I couldn't agree more.

I regret spending so much money in such a MB and if anybody is reading this, and planning to buy one, keep in mind how "abandoned" current owners are.

I just want to jump in here saying I just finished a Rampage V edition 10 build and the only thing that doesn't work is the SupremeFX HiFi front panel inputs.
I see sound on my device but don't hear it. Yes, I'm pretty sure we all turned the volume up on the knob. Connections were checked 10 times (at the minimum) and many forums were consulted.
Asus, help us out as soon as you can.

I have the exact same issue, Rampage V edition 10 and SupremeFX HiFi doesn't work, Windows 10 pro, spent hours trying everything, have put it back in the box for now
