Hello.
A new bios version 2101 for Rampage V Edition 10 has been released today.
I would like to know what changes on the level from 1903?
Sorry for my English.

Thank.

Because I do not know, who writes it in bios? I mean in which tab in bios (e.g \advance\)?

Most likely in the Main tab, not in the advanced. I don't have my X99 system with me now so I cannot 100% verify.

You can also use HWINFO and check the currently loaded microcode is Windows. If the BIOS matches Windows then it should be fine.

Here is an example

Or just download AIDA64. Open it, select Motherboard -> CPUID on the left hand side. Under there, the microcode version is written as 'Microcode Update Revision'.

Hello again,
what is the difference between the 36 and the previous ones...is it worth watching the microcodes finally ?

Supposedly that they have better security regarding the various variants of Spectre and Meltdown, and less of a speed penalty for said security, than previous microcodes. I'm _so_ looking forwards to having all this fixed in Hardware. Perhaps around '21 where Intel is, supposedly, coming with 7nm and PCI-E 5.0 at the same time?

a) Did someone test the performance decrease with this bios update?

b) Whats the best and fastest Bios version before the intel fixes?
(for me this pc is only a gaming rig so i dont care...)

BUT thanks to Asus to make the new bios available!

I'am a hugh asus fan - but during the lack of bios fixes - i checked other mb vendors..

So i'am glad that asus is "back" for me.
