Hello everyone! So I found some time to write you about one interesting thing I noticed some time ago.I have one temperature reading which is way too high and I would like to ask another user who have the same motherboard do you have the same reading?
Please take a look at the photo:

TMPIN5 temperature is 103’C.What is it and why it is so high?
Thanks in advance.

I have that exact same thing on my RVE.

TMPIN5 shows 98C-103C on mine as well. I would not worry about it- has to be a bad reading.

just today wondered the same thing. Seen the op post date is it's pretty recent. Pretty sure this reading was not as high as it is now. Mine moves between 90deg c and 95deg c. Reported on corsair link as well.*

TMPIN5 is a special sensor...it locks on the coolest Radeon GPU in the neighborhood and reports idle temps....

😉

just joking...there is no sensor so controler just makes it up...it's a fake news sensor

😛 lol Arne

yeah aida64 shows realistic temps. Realised on an absolute cold boot (12 hours later) the temp on this "sensor" showed 100deg c ... def impossible for it to ramp so high so quick. Else Asus would then need to sell this ability to kitchen stove manufacturers (as that does not ramp up in temp so quickly :)).

Is there somewhere description of each sensor?

There are CPU VRM PCH and MB sensors on the board and 3 optional headers...I have no idea in what order they get assigned in software if not listed as exactly those 4

I presume tmpin4 is VRM
