Greetings,

since i built my new rig in july 2017, im getting BSOD "Machine Check Exception" on every boot and reboot in windows 10.
I recently disabled fast boot in windows and bios, killed all saved keys, disabled CSM but the errors continue to occur.
This error occurs both unter samsung nvme 960 pro 512gb and samsung 850 pro 512gb.

Anyone with the same or similar problem?

My Rig:
Asus Rampage 5 Edition 10
Intel Core I7-6850k
Asus Strix 1080
Corsair 2400 16GB

Prime95 runs stable @65°C CPU Temp
memtest86+ was running for 48hours with no issues

Have you tried using 1 stick of memory for testing purposes?

Try disabling your CPU cores and leave only one active. See if the problem persists.

I'll test it as soon as I get off work.

after the whole weekend testing and troubleshooting my rig i figured out that "Intel xHCI" is failing ...
running it in "smart auto" causes win10 freezing at bootscreen... this problem exists on R5E10 AND R5E..
switching from "Smart Auto" to "Enabled" solved the problem.

i had no issues anymore 🙂

thank you all *thumbs up*

I've always left that option on the default setting on both my R5E and R5E10. Your problem seems to be USB related if your system works after changing that option. It's important to note that many legacy USB devices are not compatible with the newer Intel platforms like X99. Sometimes a firmware update is required.
