Hello my dear ROGs. I need help, with kingston RAM 4x4 GB kit, 3000MHz XMP.
I have a MB - Rampage V, with CPU intel 5960X and RAM HX430C15PB2K4/16.
Problem is in the XMP/compatibility issue. When i set XMP 1# (3000MHz) than freq. is OK, but showing only 2 modules at 8192MB capacity and when i set XMP 2# (2666MHz) than is all ok, showing 16GB and 4 modules. Need help to make a correct setup for this issue.
Many thans ROGs for your help.

Plug-n-Play isn't guaranteed for speeds above 2133MHz. Start tweaking your System Agent Voltage.

Had the exact same problem, bought 2 CPU's (i7-5930k) 2 motherboards (Rampage V Extreme) and 2 Memory Kits (Kingston HX430C15PB2K4/16) One system had the issue and the other one didnt, I'm a system builder and have build many systems using these same parts...anyway very long story short, ended up returing the CPU, Mobo, and RAM that was giving me grief to get a replacement and havent had a problem with the new hardware yet...been 3 weeks, running both systems at 4.5GHz on the CPU and Cache, also running the memory at 3000Mhz @ 14-15-15-37-1T

Maybe something wrong with a batch of this memory? or memory controler on the CPU not compatable with this memory?!? Not exactly sure but my problem is resolved and both systems now working perfectly!

Oh by the way...was on BIOS 1302 now on 1401N both worked without a problem.

Ok, update.

So I've been tweaking System Agent Voltage for a long time, but nothing.

Then yesterday, I saw Scorpion's post, so I RMA'd my RAM today.

Now, when I enable X.M.P., even though the only changes made are CPU strap/BCLK set to 125MHz and RAM to 3000MHz, with everything else on auto, the RAM automatically runs at 15-16-16-39 @ 1.35V with all 16 GB shows up just as it is rated for.
The RAM kit that I RMA'd would only either run 2 modules at 15-16-16-39 @ 1.35V (2 becomes "missing") or 4 modules at auto(17)-16-16-39 @ 1.35V

However, now I have a new problem.
Ever since I installed the new RAM, every other boot I get an error message during POST saying my graphics card doesn't support UEFI, even though I've been using UEFI with this card for a long time.
Yes, I've re-seated my video card.
I also tested it on another motherboard and no issue on this other board at all.

Does any one have any suggestion for the above issue? I would really appreciate any help.

I have these components:
Intel Core i7 6700K
Maximus Ranger VIII (BIOS Version 1001)
Kingston-HX430C15PB2K4-16

I have lost hours of my life trying to put into XMP, or manually increase anything in frequency of memory and can only with 8GB.
Something is missing me, what can it be?

Kingston is my only option for DDR4 in Serbia, cost 300-330e. In one moment I thought I find good price and everything on same place I will buy maybe even Kingston, but after reading little more before one week I decide to go with different approach.
I payed 220e GSkill 2800 from Germany and saved little money there.
I didn't hear many complains on XMP Profile with kit F4-2800C16Q-16GRK.
Yes I'm sorry because I used on nice Dominator Platinum look with DDR3 but that would be almost whole EKWb monoblock for R5E over GSkill for same speed and latency and probably even same memory chips only you payed nice heatsinks.
CORSAIR really no mercy. Domi should go 100 down.
every kit.

Have you tried enabling XMP?

Yeap....normaly i don't #touch the bios..but i will lern something about it..how i change the timings and so. First of all i will fix the memory and i do not understand why such an expensive motherboard not recognize the ram  can somebody tell me?????????????
Thanks

Hey,

the motherboard "recognizes" the memory otherwise you wouldn't be here answering on these forums :D. Xmp has to be enabled manualy, i figure because it is an "overclock". It is very straight forward if your on advanced mode on your bios and EVEN easier on normal user friendly mode. Get in the bios and just enable it and the you're good to go 😄
