Hello my dear ROGs. I need help, with kingston RAM 4x4 GB kit, 3000MHz XMP.
I have a MB - Rampage V, with CPU intel 5960X and RAM HX430C15PB2K4/16.
Problem is in the XMP/compatibility issue. When i set XMP 1# (3000MHz) than freq. is OK, but showing only 2 modules at 8192MB capacity and when i set XMP 2# (2666MHz) than is all ok, showing 16GB and 4 modules. Need help to make a correct setup for this issue.
Many thans ROGs for your help.

Thx, i will flash to 1001 and test it.
Is that same process like a updating BIOS??? When i make a downgrade?

Yes, you can use the USB BIOS Flashback procedure or the EZ Flash Utility in the BIOS to do so.

Hello my dear ROGers,
I was tested yesterday BIOS 1201 and this version is solved my problem with my KINGSTON 16GB KIT (HX430C15PB2K4/16). Running on XMP 1# (3000MHz) on all DIMMs with 16GB instead 8GB ;-). I make a stress test in Teal Bench and all OK, but only 15min. Could i make a longer stress test duration? Or other test like a memtest86+ and how long?

Yes, you can test as long as you want. You will get different answers for this one. Some tests for hours and others for days.

Thx, i have testing without errors.
When i trying set BCLK strap to 100 instead 125 (XMP3000), work is only one time. 2nd time i set voltage of RAM straight to 1,35V instead of auto, after this come back to 12GB sometimes 8GB RAM, when i set all params back i have only 12GB :'( (CPU-Z Showing 16GB, Win only 12GB).
I flashed BIOS 1001 and set XMP 3000 showing only 12GB... I flashed back 1201 and set XMP3000 still 12GB, after this i set XMP2666 showing 16GB and then i set back XMP3000 showing 16GB.
Maybe all BIOS versions are not fully compatible with this kit. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH.
I hope to help somebody on this thread. 😉

Hello, I have a question.
When i set XMP3000, after this my bclk strap is 125MHz and ratio 28x, CPU 5960X runnin all time on 3500MHz without turbo/power save freqs. It will be better this or standard setting bclk strap 100MHz, synchronize all cores and min ratio 1200MHz and max 3500MHz? What is best setting CPU while running XMP3000? Many thx for help.
Regards miLOWs.

The 125 strap works better for RAM above 2400MHz.

Check your Windows Power Plan. See if it's on Balanced.

Yeah its true windows power plan is help me solve the problem, but turbo is still disabled in bios and same in application from intel says turbo is disabled...

Wow, I am kind of relieved when I found this thread, I have exactly the same kit as Milows and am having exactly the same issue it is driving me nuts.

So Kingston HX430C15PB2K4/16 like Milows, Rampage V Extreme running 1401 BIOS, if I run 2133MHz with auto timing, everything is working fine.
However, as soon as I manually set RAM (not using X.M.P.) to 3000MHz 15-16-16-39-2T @ 1.35V which is the same value as the X.M.P. profile, my B1 and D1 disappear, leaving me with only 8GB of RAM.

Does any one have any suggestions?

Edited for clarity.

Setup your RAM manually using the same values as the XMP profile. If it still fails, then start tweaking System Agent Voltage and/or DRAM voltage.

I AM setting the RAM manually using the same values as the X.M.P. profile, including voltage, and as soon as I do, 2 modules disappear, just like Milows.
