Raid 0+1 Read Performance with Intel RST

Has anyone else run into low performance on Reads when using the Rampage V Extreme with Intel RST in a Raid 10 (0+1) configuration?

From my other computer (which has an intel raid controller PCI-E card in it) and identical drives in Raid 10 I am getting roughly 500 mb / s read performance. On this new system I built, the performance seems much worse the raid card and using Intel RST. I understand that there are differences between software and hardware raid controllers, but not half the speed.

Did I miss something in configuration maybe? Going to suck backing up 4 TB of data and replacing setup with a raid controller.

Awesome motherboard otherwise, just unfortunate with the performance of the Raid functionality.

Yes I'd say something is wrong. These cheap drives that I am using have awesome raid0 stats if you use 6 of them.
